Leeds United starlet earns Euro call from England U21s

Lees set for Under 21 European Championships (©GettyImages)Tom Lees will travel to the UEFA Under-21 European Championships after Stuart Pearce named the Leeds United defender in his 23-man squad.
Lees made his debut for the Young Lions in September last year and will join the squad for a week-long training camp in Turkey ahead of the tournament in Israel.
The Whites starlet has explained the benefits of being part of the international set up.
He told the official club website: "Playing with the Under-21s broadens your skills and your experience.
"You know all the players at your club, you know what they do in training and it's good to go away and mix with different players."
The Elland Road academy graduate will be hoping to add to the five caps he's earned for his country, the latest of which came against Austria in March.
"I didn't represent England when I was younger, I came straight into the Under-21s and maybe you relish the opportunity more because I haven't done it as a young player."[leads added].
Joining Lees in Stuart Pearce's squad is Tottenham defender and former Leeds Academy graduate Danny Rose, who has this season enjoyed a successful loan spell at relegation-threatened Sunderland in the Premier League.
Pearce will want his men to improve on their 2011 showing, where they failed to qualify from the group stage despite drawing with eventual champions Spain.
