FOLLOWING the suspension of Rivers State governor and Chairman,
Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, Chibuike Amaechi by the National Working
Committee, NWC of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the party, Monday
appointed Joe Gadzama to head an eleven member investigation committee
to investigate petitions against him.
Gadzama’s Committee which will handle all matters in connection with the NWC’s decision to suspend the governor, will also look at his alleged role in violating Articles 58 1 (b), (c ), (h) and (m) of the PDP Constitution following his refusal to obey the lawful directive of the Rivers State Executive Committee to rescind his decision dissolving the elected Executive Council of Obiokpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.National leadership PDP.
Briefing Journalists Monday, PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh gave names of other members of the Committee as PDP National Legal Adviser, Victor Kwon; Arc. Inalegwu Onche; Friday Nwosu; Hon. Udorji Amedu; Ola Kukuyi; Hon. Wakil Mohammed; Yusuf Jangwe; Mrs Bola Doherty; Barrister Tanimu Adamson and Anicho Okoro as Secretary.
Metuh, however did not give the Committee’s time frame to carry out its assignment.
